Unwise and quarrelsome conversation:
It seems best today to leave the
confrontational & detrimental
subject of racism as this only leads to quarrel & barren debate!
May I just end this subject be
clearly stating that there never
have been any racism, will be any racism, or is any racism now
included in the true Buddha-Dhamma insofar as the Buddha
repeatedly have pointed out the Value of a given being is:
Not the race, nor the nationality, nor the family, nor the group,
nor the social class, nor the profession, nor the country, nor the
education, nor the intelligence, nor the wealth, nor the size of
body, breasts or brain, nor any other category of attributes
But the INTENTIONS (Kamma)
influencing all
this being's: Thoughts, Talking & Actions ....
Still, however, many Buddhists - even
Nobles up to non-returners -
have not eradicated underlying preferences, biases & aversions for
this or that particular group of people, who may then - especially if
sensitive & vulnerable - both righteously & unrighteously, view this
as racism... The only way out of that is to intensify the development
& maturation of the Noble 8-fold fold, both individually & globally..
May this group be the Avant-Garde
showing the Way in this quest!
