A name for the questions asked by Ālavaka of the Buddha and mentioned in the Ālavaka Sutta. When the Sāsana gradually falls into abeyance, questions such as these and the questions in the Sabhiya-pucchā, will remain in the memories of men, but they will not suffice to keep the religion alive (VibhA.432).
